Cat Art

Now that our cat art is finished they look amazing!

This is how we did it:

1. We had to sketch our cats
2. Dye our cats (merge the colors so it looks nice)
3. Draw eyes and a mouth with vivid and don't forget whiskers

We Have A New Sticky-Bility!

Science In A Van

Yesterday,  4/9/13 we saw Science in a Van

                                                            Here is the story...

At 9:15 am in the hall 2 people named Allan and Emily who travel around New Zealand putting on science shows came to Windsor School. First, they put on Sound and Personal Eye Image effects. First they showed us a Stock Whip and tried to break the sound barrier which made a sonic boom which means they tried to break 1225 km. Next they showed us a black and white twirly thing. Emily spun it one way and we looked in the middle and Emily's head shrunk also she spun it the other way and her head seemed to get bigger. It was an optical illusion. Next they were talking about bubbles, mixtures and scientific words. Firstly they were showing us different kinds of bubbles.

My Polar Bear Narrative

On a sunny morning a polar bear was sun bathing on a drifting barrel in the middle of the sea. Suddenly he lifted his head lazily and rolled off the barrel and polar-paddled his way to the deserted boat and flipped into the boat and walked. Almost suddenly he tripped on a coil of rope and his foot turned the lever on and he was surprised he was moving without polar-paddling. Suddenly he waddled to the side of the boat and saw an island. He took hold of the steering wheel and steered it around the rocks and he fell out of the boat and skied from the coil of rope. When he was skiing he was leaning back like he was pulling the brake of a train however his feet were in the water getting soaked. That bear was so excited that he jumped some rocks and disaster struck. All of a sudden he landed head first  on the mini deserted island. Kplonk! "Ouch," he cried as the boat fell on his head like a car crusher. I should have stayed at home today! he whispered to himself.

Learnatic Badges

When Mrs Royle was talking about lunatics we came up with ''learnatics'' but we don't like lunatics. So we decided to have a learnatic of the week badges and we'll choose someone to be a learnatic of the week.

Update! Music & PE!

For PE we are skipping and learning new tricks! The basic ones are when you just do the normal skips .  Mostly people like running and skipping at the same time. For music we are learning to play the recorder.  I am getting great at it! Even though I haven't played it before.

Our Cool Beanbag

Our bean-bag is a cosy way to sit on the mat; only 2 people can sit on it at a time. Mostly everyone wants to sit on it at the same time  Description: blue all over  and that's all! It's like a chair.

PE & Music

Every Thursday we do PE and Music. Lately we have been doing t-ball for PE and practising for our show with Adrian  our  music teacher.  This is a reminder for our show on Thursday next week and also for our parents to come and watch.

Making Ice cream

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup milk,1 tablespoon sugar,  1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 5 tablespoons salt, ice

How to Make

1. Get a large bag and fill 1/2 of the bag with ice.
2. Put  salt in the large bag and seal it.
3. Shake it.
4. Put milk,vanilla,sugar in a small zip lock bag and seal it.
5. Place the small bag inside the large bag and shake it.
6. Enjoy.

Wanda the Wombat

Home learning cup

Yay we won the team weka home learning cup. We are very proud of ourselves for winning it . Also whoever has the least not getting the home learning treat is the winner. When you get the cup you write your room # on it.

Epals

I have got an epal. We haven't all started emailing yet though. But i would like to check my inboxto see if my epal has written to me.

Buddies

On the 7/3/13 we will be painting our buddies feet all different colours like: Green, Yellow, Red, Orange ,Blue, Purple and Pink. Then we will put our buddies feet onto paper and they will look like butterflies.
