Mary had a Little Lamb

In Room17 we have written our own Mary had a little lamb poems and one of them goes like this.
Mary had a little lamb ,
Who liked to chew on gum ,
Mary didn't want her lamb,
To eat this by the tonne,
Chocolate flavoured and berry too,
It was very yummy,
Poor little lamb ate way too much,
And now she's feeling funny.

Electricity Books

In Room 17 we have some electricity books that go home at the end of the day .These electricity books go home to kids who would like to read them. Grace 7 has had one of the  amazing electricity books. One of the categories is about circuits .

Stuck in the shoes

Room 17 has Mr O'Reilly's shoes and when you muck up you have to put your feet in the shoes and see the world from the other person's point of view. Then you can get out of the  shoes and then you'll know what it will feel like if that happened to you. It's learning about empathy, one of our Learning Power muscles.

Goals that we have Achieved

In Room  17 we  have made 4 goals. There is a rugby post and all the goals that we have achieved go on top of the rugby post. Jacob has achieved a goal or two and Corbin has not achieved a goal yuet because he is still learning to do what his goal is. We think that is cool Corbin. If you come into room 17 and look at the wall , you could see the rugby post.

Guitar

On Tuesday Leni made a guitar and it was made out of a soccer field table.

Our Blog

Room 17's blog is the best. You should look at it more because you will never know if there's something you didn't know we have been learning.

Soccer

On Wednesday10 April we played soccer. We were separated into ten teams and the colours of the teams were orange, green, blue and yellow. The scores of our teams were 7, 12 and it was really fun. Corbin lost no games and Jacob's team  lost one game. The matches  were at our back field. Soccer rocks!

Elephant toothpaste

Today  we did an experiment called Elephant toothpaste.
The ingredients are Yeast , Dishwashing liquid,  Hydrogen Peroxide, food colouring,  warm water. when we put all of the
ingredients in,  it fizzed and rose and spilled out of the bottle like toothpaste.  It looked cool.

Jacob's Karting

I am Jacob and I do karting and am number 18. I race a cadet. Cadets are for 6 to 12 years of age. In the holidays I went to Hamilton. It was my first time in Hamilton and in the North Island. I came second and I got a sash and three trophies. I got them for a teams event.
