Naughty Baby Rhino

One day there was a mother rhino and baby rhino getting sent to an African Zoo."I'm very tired,'' yawned the calf.'' Can I sleep on your horn?''
"Alright then,'' grunted Mother Rhino.''But don't use all of your weight because I'm tired as well. Thud.
"Ouchieeeeeeeee, "squealed Mother Rhino."Get off me now."

That's my story

When we do That's my Story we sometimes put some Mozart music on and listen to it. Then you write what you think is going on when you listen to that type of music. I think it is really fun.

Time

In maths we are learning about time. I think time will be a good thing to do for maths.

earthquake

On the 4th September a humungous 7.1 earthquake hit in Canterbury and it caused lots of damage.It was felt as south as Invercargill and as north as New Plymouth.

Endings

In word study we are learning about endings like "ing"and "ed".

Last week of summarising

At the end of this week or next week we are going to finish our summarising and start our new class reading goal and our other goal is going to be inferences.

swimming

For the first two weeks of term 3 team Weka,Kiwi and Takahe are going swimming at QEII.I think it is a lot of fun.

Cross country practice

Last week we did some cross country practice. We run 2 laps around the field and Mrs Royle times us and then we graph it.

Aquarium

Yesterday we went to the Aquarium we saw eels, seastars, octopus, stingrays and lots of other kinds of fish.

Bringwonder the storyteller

Yesterday Bringwonder the storyteller told us a story about New Zealand and Australia .It's about little chickens, their mother and father, the mother and fathers parents, a old lady, a chicken's broken wing and another chicken's wing which had yucky ship oil on it.Yuck! He was awesome.
