Going Camping

On the 9th of December, Team Weka are going on camp. We will play games, make rafts and much more! We will be sleeping in cabins and tents. Parents will also be there to provide help if needed.

Sparkling Fireworks

Fairies having a war with glistening bombs in the night sky above,
Impossible to resist the beautiful fireworks.
Rumble, rumble I hear the fireworks chattering in a great frenzy,
Everywhere around pretty grenades fall roughly from the sky,
Wonderous fireworks form shapes like never seen before,
Oh the joy to watch the fireworks bubble and fizz with excitement,
Roaring fireworks dash about as if they are late for an appointment,
Kaboom! Kapow! The noise is awfully loud,
Smudging together like a tesselation, the fireworks do their thing.

Behind the door...

I imagine that behind the old oak door, when you walk in there is mysterious music playing out of nowhere, on an eerie organ. The outside of the door is stock still, not even a little breath of wind. Now, I pluck my courage up again, so I hold my breath and step inside. There is a tunnel with gigantic spider webs. On chairs at the side, there are blood red containers. The eerie music carries on and gets louder still. It is a spine chilling experience so I scream loudly and run as fast as lightning outside. I fall down on a piece of fluffy moss. I know by my thumping heart, I am not going back again!

All about Sticky Bility

Sticky Bility is a new student in room 17. He demonstrates resilience. Also, he is always ready, willing and able to lock on to his learning. Sticky Bility uses these learning muscles: Absorption, Managing Distractions, Noticing and Perseverance. Even though he gets into the Learning Pit, he always finds a way out. He tries hard no matter what!

Running in the Cross Country

Run! Run! As fast as you can! You can't catch me 'cos I'm the Gingerbread man! I am singing to keep my spirits up. My heart is thumping inside my body like a beating drum. I see people all around me walking, but am I going to? No Way! I am never going to give up no-matter what! I know that sound anywhere! It's the sound of a crowd roaring loudly! I'm almost at the Finish Line! Will I make it? Yes I will! And I proudly came 34th!

The Chess Talent Group

The chess talent group is a big group of people that know all the moves of chess and know how to play the game. These people are very talented playing this game. Chess is a battle between you and a partner. Some people travel all over the world to enter chess champs and win battles. Before and after the game you have to shake hands so it's like your saying, I hope we have a good game and that was a good game. In the talent group these people are so good that they can teach other people how to play, which means those people can teach other people who don't know how to play.The people in the talent group like to encourage other people to play this fun battling game! This game includes lots of strategy. The chess pieces are called, the pawn, the king and queen, the bishop, the rook, and the knight.
