Last week Andrew the Learnz teacher visited us in our classroom and told us about the kakapo.
This week we will be going on the LEARNZ virtual field trip to learn more about the Kakapo. These are some of the exciting things we will be doing and learning:
- Fly from Invercargill and land on the beach of Whenua Hou/Codfish Island
- Help monitor and care for the chicks and adult kakapo on the island
- Find out about gadgets used to help the kakapo

Hi everyone,
I was just texting with Mrs Royle and that made me think about going to your blog to see what you have been doing. Wow it is amazing all the things you have done and now a vitual field trip. I think your blog is very interesting. I am coming to see Mrs Royle soon and I am going to bring Mr Ed back to stay in your room until the end of the year. You can have some fun with him and teach him things about maths. Renata taught him a maths game and she did it really well. He loved it. Well you will see that he is back in your room listening quietly down the back again soon. My study is going really well and I still have about 4 weeks work to do on it. Have fun swimming! Lois :-)
