The Fish

Room 16 has had our class pet fish for a very long time .There is the humongous fish (placostamus) and there are these little fish that suck the glass, a mini sized fish that also sucks the glass and the red tailed shark that chases the little ones.Now since the big fish keeps on digging up the plants they are all floating on the top of the water.

Ka pai's back

Ka Pai is back at Windsor school and our Australian epals put some bling on him, it is a little music note.Ka pai has a little travel diary and Cookie has his own little travel diary that we have almost filled up .We are so glad to have Ka Pai back.

Aboriginal Art

Room 16 are learning about aboriginal art. Aboriginal art is the art that has all those little dots on it and some of them tell stories.We are making aboriginal art pictures. They will look so cool when they are done. First we just did a little drawing and then we do the dots on it in paint once you have done that and then you paint on the picture.

Miss Schwass

Room 16 has a cool new teacher, well practically. She's in training to be a teacher so she is at Windsor school in room 16.Miss Schwass is very kind and she is very cool to have in the class.Now we have three teachers because we have Miss K and she is our sports teacher we have her on Mondays and there is Mrs Royle she is our every day teacher she is a cool teacher and now Miss Schwass well for 5 more weeks that is.I think that Miss Schwass will make a great teacher.

Fair

The fair at Windsor school was great.There was candy floss, popcorn, bouncy castles and the Windsors got talent people.I won a Warrent of fitness voucher, my future step sister Hannah won a dinner set .It was some glasses place mats and a fruit bowl and my future step brother won 876 jelly beans. The fair was so fun.

The school fair

Windsor school is having a fair.There will be games,food and prizes. Room 16 is doing a balloon popping with prizes. It will be like this: there are some balloons and the people there will give you a pin. You aim for the balloon and if you can try to pop it, if you do there will be a number inside the balloon and that will be the number of the prize. My mum is doing a hot chip stand.

Georges Marvellous Medicine

Room 16 is reading a book called Georges Marvelous Medicine.We have been doing lots of reading about it and more fun stuff.Georges Marvelous Medicine is written by and illustrated by Roald Dahl. It is a very funny book.

Cookie

Cookie is having a-lot of fun in room 16.Lately he is learning about fizz bang pop, which is all about science. We are really enjoying him and we cant wait until Ka-pai comes back to New Zealand!

Paper mache

Room 16 has almost finished their paper mache.There are paper maches like penguins,bunnies,mice,hedgehogs,aliens,fish,hot air balloons and pigs.We are very proud of our paper mache ,we put a-lot of work into them.What we did to make them was to blow up a balloon and then we had to go over it with news print and then we had to do news paper and same with news print,news paper,news print.Then we got card board and if you are doing whatever you cut the right shapes for it and you stick them on with masking tape and paint over it and use vivid for the eyes and then we spray it with shiny spray.

Capacino

Capacino is my bunny and we call him Capie for short.I feed him carrots , puha that is like lettuce. We also feed him bunny treats.We have to let him out once a day , he usually stays outside for an hour ,and he stays outside by himself WOW.When you hold Capie you have to be careful because when he doesn't get much food and it is after school he will think that your uniform is puha.
We sometimes bring Capie inside and he get all nervous and eats the floor and makes the floor messy with his chocolate buttons yuck Capie. We have trained Capie so what you do to train Capie is to get a bit of puha and put it just above him and say first give me a kiss and he will give you a kiss then give the puha to him

Cell phone boxes

Room 16 are helping the sick children at the star ship hospital. We are collecting old cell phones and sending them away to the star ship hospital because they can some how turn cell phones into cash so they can buy stuff for sick children WOW!Well that is all.

Cane toads

Room 16 read Toad Rage and learnt about cane toads and we found out a new web site about cane toads . We found out cane toads are poisonous and are pests in Australia. We now know lots about cane toads and they are really interesting creatures but they are warty.

Cookie

Cookie the kookaburra's our Australia epal's class toy .Our epals sent over Cookie and we have been looking after him so we bought a new kiwi named Ka pai and he is in Australia now.

PRIDE

Pride is a very important in our class because it helps us learn. The p stands for partnership and participation that means work together and help others ,the r stands for respect and responsibility that means be kind and and take care of your things, the i stands for integrity and identity that means you're in charge of your own self and be the best person you can be, the d stands for determination that means don't give up. The e stands for excellence that means you are doing a good job and you should always do your best . In room 16 we use pride alot because we love to be kind to people so we can get more friends. Thanks to pride I have lots of friends .Pride is what the whole school uses.

Littlest pet shop

I have 96 littlest pet shop I only need 4 to get to 100 WOW! I can remember all their names I even have some fuzzy ones they are really cool and some mini littlest pet shop they are a chipmunk a duck a penguin a polar bear and two dogs. I just love littlest pet shop because they are really popular there are littlest pet shop vips littlest pet shop big toys mini littlest pet shop fuzzy littlest pet shop and lots more they are the best. My uncle Donny has sent me over $50 to spend on littlest pet shop and stuff they are really cool .

Reading

For reading every day we use pride in it and sometimes it can take a long time to read but I like it because I can learn very well. I read at my house and at school and at some of my relatives house. It is really good for me .I love to read so much that I do it for my home work. Before I couldint read chapter books but now I can read chapter books . I really like them even though they are too long it doesn't mean that they are boring. Try to read a chapter in a chapter book if you have one if you dont have a chapter ask your mum or dad to buy one for you so try to read one to night. Lots of nights I read lots of books and they are very very interesting and help me learn a lot. At school I do research with my best friend Zara because we want to travel around the world and help baby animals and adults but before we do any of that we have to research about animals. So far I am doing research about elephants and it is very interesting. The reading groups are named coolcats, wickedwekas, marvellousmonkeys, and wildworms. We have a reading corner and we call it silent reading. It is a place were we silent read after lunch. I just love to read.

Six Thinking Hats

The six thinking hats help us think when we are learning. The blue hat means planning our ideas, the red hat means your feelings, the green hat means you're creative, the yellow hat means good things, the white hat means facts, the black hat means bad things.We use thinking hats in mostly everything that we do because they give us wonderful ideas in our writing, our reading, maths with everything. The six thinking hats are one of our most favourite things in the class because they are helpful to us. The thinking hats are really good for me because I have gotten much more better at my school work that I do stuff like my maths, my writing, my reading, and my spelling.Everyone in the class enjoy the six thinking hats, everyone learns and has fun with them and we also are having fun with our school learning that we are given.The learning activities that Mrs Royle gives us are lots of fun.
